Our carrier's definition of Mainland UK does not cover certain areas of UK. A next day delivery option to the Isle of Wight, Scottish Islands & Northern Ireland cannot be guaranteed due to the availability of ferry crossings and possibility of adverse weather conditions. Separate carrier costs for those zones have been outlined below;

Timescales

Orders placed before 2.00pm on a working day will be processed that day and will be delivered as per the requested delivery option, provided no additional security checks are required and all stock items are available. A working day constitutes days Monday to Friday only, not including UK bank holidays.


As soon as the goods are dispatched you will be notified by e-mail. If for any reason it is not possible to deliver your order within the allotted time period or an ordered item is out of stock, we will notify you by phone or e-mail as soon as possible.


Next day despatch

To ensure a next day despatch to an address in Mainland UK you should select the "Next day" option at checkout. In order to guarantee next day despatch, orders must be placed before 2.00pm to allow for packing.

 

Next Day Despatch option selected for orders placed on a Friday will be delivered on the Monday of the following week.

Next day delivery selected for orders placed on a Saturday or Sunday will be delivered on the Tuesday of the following week.

This is due to our carriers being unable to guarantee delivery on Saturdays and Sundays and we apologise for any inconvenience.

 

Special requests

If you have any special requests regarding your delivery, (i.e if you specifically require delivery on a Saturday, specific days that you will not be present to accept delivery, or the details of a neighbour in your street that is willing to accept delivery for you) please enter them in the box provided at the check-out stage.

 

 

Delivery address

In most cases, for purposes of security, we will only deliver your order to the address of the card holder. If you wish to have your order sent to another address, you must contact us to arrange an alternative solution. Please note: Our reason for this condition is purely to protect both yourself and The Tool Vault against the increasing problem of credit card fraud.

Delivery problems

If you are not at home when our carrier's vehicle arrives, the driver will leave a card to notify you that they have called. Please note that in some cases (i.e pallet consignments or deliveries over 25kg you may be liable for any re-delivery costs).

 

Please note that if there is no-one available to sign for your delivery and you requested to have it left in your back garden, on the door mat or in an outbuilding etc., this is done at your own risk. Our carrier will post a card through your door to inform you that it has been left in the specified place. The Tool Vault does not accept responsibility for loss or theft of items left in an unsecure place at your request.

 

 

 

Whilst every effort shall be made to keep any delivery date, time of delivery shall not be of the essence. The company shall not be liable for any consequential loss incurred by the buyer or any other person or company arising directly or indirectly out of any failure to meet any estimated delivery date.

 

If delivery cannot be made to your address for reasons under our Companys control, our team will inform you as soon as possible to make alternative arrangements.

The Tool Vault cannot accept liability for goods lost in transit, unless we are notified within 5 days from the expected delivery date. This will be the date advised on the customers automated dispatch note which is emailed to the customer once the items have left our warehouse.

Should you require the goods to be redirected to another address after the goods have been dispatched you may be required to pay an additional postage charge.

Upon receipt of you order you will be asked to sign for the goods received in good condition. If the package does not appear to be in good condition then please refuse the delivery. If you are unable to check the contents of your delivery at the point of delivery then please sign for the parcel as UNCHECKED. Failure to do so may affect any warranty claims that you make thereafter.

 

Any refused deliveries will be returned to The Tool Vault. Upon receipt of the goods, a refund will be issued minus 10% of the value of the order to cover administration costs.

Payment Options

We accept all major credit cards & debit cards including MasterCard, Visa, Delta, Solo, Electron, Switch, Maestro and American Express. In addition we also accept PayPal.

To assure our customers of complete security, all card payment details are SSL encrypted and stored on a secure server.

 

For international transactions, we accept only paypal and bacs payments

 

Please note no goods will be dispatched until your payment has been cleared.

 

Guarantees

The Tool Vault takes great care to ensure that all the products featured on this website are of a high quality.

As part of our commitment to quality we provide 1 year's guarantee on all Hand Tool products on this website, provided that they have been used at all times in the correct manner. However in some cases, due to the exceptional quality of the products, the manufacturers will give much longer guarantees on their products.

As far as Power Tools are concerned, we follow the manufacturers policy, details of which will be included with the product. Certain other brands may have an extended manufacturers warranty available, requiring on-line registration. Full details can be obtained by following instructions enclosed with the product.

If a product is under guarantee and needs to be returned to our store for repair, the cost of returning the product is at the customers expense & you should follow the procedures detailed below.

 

If a customer receives a newly purchased product that is faulty, The Tool Vault will refund the postage expenses for returning that product to our store. We will keep you informed of replacements / refunds as soon as the faulty product has been received and examined by our team.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Returns & Refunds Procedure

We aim to provide you with as much information as we can about each product so that you can make an informed purchase decision. However, to give you additional confidence, we will allow you to return any item if it is not what you require within 7 working days of receipt, as long as it has not been used and it is returned in its original undamaged packaging.

 

Customers are liable for the safe return of all goods as well as inherent carriage costs for returning products to the supplier. We reserve the right to charge a re-stocking fee of up to but not greater than 10.00.

Returns Procedure:

Contact us at customerservice@thetoolvault.com quoting the order number of the order to be returned/cancelled.

You should subsequently return the item(s) to us by the agreed method. Unfortunately we cannot accept proof of posting as confirmation of delivery.

Upon receipt of the item(s) we will refund the contract price of the item(s) subject to them being unused and in their original condition and packaging.

 

Faulty, Incorrectly Supplied and Damaged Items

If an item has been incorrectly supplied, received damaged or is faulty then you should notify us within 10 days of the receipt of the goods, following the Returns Procedures detailed above. Should we, upon receipt of the said items, be satisfied as to the alleged defects Thewe will either replace the goods or arrange a refund of the full value of the goods and any carriage costs incurred.

All prices quoted are inclusive of Vat unless stated. To the best of our knowledge all prices are correct at the time of issue. We cannot be held liable for any inaccuracies found on this website and we reserve the right to change prices without prior notification in line with manufactures price increases.
We must receive payment of the whole of the price for the goods you order before your order can be accepted. Due to the extensive range of products on our website there may be some incorrectly priced items (if you spot any please feel free to drop us an e-mail).
Although we endeavour to ensure that all pricing information on thetoolvault.com is accurate, occasionally an error may occur and goods may be mispriced. If we discover a pricing error we will, at our discretion, either contact you and ask you whether you wish to continue with the order at the correct price or notify you that we have cancelled your order. We will not be obliged to supply goods at the incorrect price.

Please note that prices shown on our website may differ from those in our store or other publications. Website prices will be available upon request for customers who have registered with us on-line. If you wish to purchase a specific product in-store, please contact us to verify stock availability.

 

VAT

Vat stands for Value Added Tax, which is charged on most goods and services within the European Union subject currently 20% to the terms below.

 

Companies outside of UK purchasing items are not subject to VAT as long as you provide a valid Company Tax Number in the appropriate box at checkout. VAT will be subtracted when this number has been verified.

Orders sent to addresses anywhere else in the world will not be subject to vat but they may be subject to local taxes and customs charges.

We respect the need to protect your privacy. In order to process your order and to provide you with details of that order at a later stage we do need to collect and retain a certain amount of personal data. We will not share your details with any third party for use as marketing. We will only share detail with parties carrying out work on our behalf to complete your order. When you place your order we collect the following information:

    a) For death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
